Title: Accounting Clerk I
Location: Madison, WI (100% Onsite)
Pay Rate: $13–$15 per hour

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelors or Associates degree
- Strong keyboarding skills, with the ability to enter data quickly and accurately
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience with spreadsheets, data entry, and simple formulas
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast‑moving environment
- Dependability and professionalism, with a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality
- Ability to work onsite full time in Madison, WI
Key Responsibilities
Project Funding & PO Creation
- Create, update, and manage purchase orders (POs) to support ongoing business and project initiatives
- Ensure project funding allocations are correctly entered and documented
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to verify budget details, funding sources, and project requirements
- Maintain accurate records and help resolve discrepancies related to PO entries or funding information
Invoice Processing
- Receive, review, and process incoming invoices in a timely and accurate manner
- Match invoices to purchase orders and verify appropriate approvals
- Assist with onboarding and entering new vendors into the system
- Communicate with internal departments or vendors to resolve billing or invoice issues
