Accounting Clerk

PrideStaff on behalf of a client located in Fort Lauderdale is seeking an experienced and professional Accounting Clerk who can assist with the daily financial transactions and provide administrative support to finance team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • AP/AR: Process, code, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
  • Support: Assist with month-end closing, inventory counts, and COGS tracking.
  • Excel & Reporting: Maintain financial data using PivotTables and VLOOKUPs.
  • Credit & Collections: Monitor customer balances and process credit applications.
  • Compliance: Assist with sales tax nexus tracking and audit documentation.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with Sales and Operations to resolve billing discrepancies.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting or 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Technical: Strong Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP); ERP experience (QuickBooks, Dynamics, or Sage) preferred.
  • Skills: High accuracy in data entry and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Industry: Aviation or transportation experience is a plus.

Must be able to submit to a background check and a drug screen
