Seeking to hire an Accounting Clerk atthe City of Brentwood, TN
Starting salary range will be $48,422- $59,649 depending on hiring level and experience.
Up to 5% salary increase after successful completion of six-month probationary period.
Plus: Transportation Supplement of $2000/year to be distributed equally over 26 pay periods annually.

The City of Brentwood is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and collaborative professional to join the Finance Department as an Accounting Clerk. Based on experience (specifically local government experience and/or accounting coursework), the position may be hired as either an Accounting Clerk I (hiring range $48,422 - $53,264) or Accounting Clerk II (hiring range $54,226 - $59,649).
The City of Brentwood, located in scenic Williamson County, is considered one of the most desirable suburban locations in Tennessee. It sits just south of Nashville and has a population of approximately 46,000 residents.
The Finance Department is responsible for managing the City’s financial resources and operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, revenue collection, and disbursements.
The Accounting Clerk role provides critical administrative and accounting support to ensure accurate and timely financial transactions. From receipting and recording revenue transactions to assisting with month-end closings and audits, you’ll be part of a close-knit team working to support essential City operations.
