Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to support the financial operations of our manufacturing organization. The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, supporting month-end close, and helping ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. This role will work closely with operations, inventory, and leadership teams to monitor costs, analyze variances, and support the company’s financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Based on general knowledge.

• Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and journal entries
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Analyze manufacturing costs, inventory transactions, and production variances
• Reconcile inventory, raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods accounts
• Support standard cost updates and cost accounting activities
• Prepare financial statements, management reports, and budget-to-actual analyses
• Monitor fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and capital expenditure reporting
• Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll accounting as needed
• Help ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal controls
• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation
• Partner with plant managers and operations teams to track production performance and spending
• Identify process improvement opportunities to strengthen reporting accuracy and efficiency

Qualifications:

Based on general knowledge.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of cost accounting, inventory accounting, and financial reporting
• Understanding of GAAP and internal control practices
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
