Accountant III (Construction)
Job Description:
This role is a senior staff-level construction accounting position supporting a growing, profitable construction contractor in the Baltimore area. You will handle core accounting functions such as cash management, job costing, billing, and subledger oversight while working closely with senior leadership in a small, collaborative back-office team. The position is designed for an experienced construction accounting professional who is ready to take on significant responsibility in a fast-paced, project-driven environment and who is interested in long-term growth and succession opportunities as the company expands.

Work Environment:
This is a 100% on-site role based in the Baltimore, MD area, operating on standard business hours that typically start around 7:00 AM. You can expect extended hours, often 9–10 hour days, during month-end close periods and other peak times. The office is a small, collaborative environment of approximately 12–15 people, providing direct access to leadership and fostering close teamwork. You will report to the CFO and work closely with a lean accounting team that includes Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll staff.
