What You Will Be Doing
As the sole Accountant supporting the Division of Risk Management, this position is responsible to maintain oversight of the State's self-insurance and excess insurance business activities, records, coordination, and management of financial payments using multi-system interactions and providing managerial accounting support for a $35 million-dollar annual operating budget and up to a $50 million-dollar catastrophic fund.

The Division of Administrative Services’ mission is to provide budget, financial, and procurement services to departmental programs. This Accountant provides services to the Division of Risk Management, whose mission is to protect the financial assets and operations of the State of Alaska from accidental loss through a comprehensive self-insurance program.
