Role:
At The Value Builders, an Account Director is responsible for managing deliverables and communicating between the client and the Agency on specified accounts. Under the direction of their manager, they will draft tactical plans and project briefs and work with the client and agency to reach marketing objectives. Account Director drives change to improve the agencies’ process/procedures and offerings, all while working with junior members of the account team, mentoring and preparing them for what’s to come.
Responsibilities:
Lead the day-to-day management of specified deliverables, and provide status reports for internal and client distribution
- Maintain daily contact with core marketing team and support client relationships
- Establish regular tracking of all jobs and communicate the flow of jobs throughout the agency.
- Develop and maintain project budgets and overall finances, driving client reconciliation meetings.
- Review estimates, working with project management, and approve invoices for product jobs.
- Drive client meetings and MLR meetings, from the agency perspective
- Participate in creative meetings and evaluate creative work prior to client submission
- Provide clear direction and establish business and brand expectations for internal team.
- Ensure high-quality agency output, reflective of consistently superior creative product.
- Make recommendations for programs, big ideas, and incremental income.
- Become an expert in the client’s business and product to form the groundwork for making knowledgeable recommendations
- Participate in research, design, analysis, and strategic development to assist the strategy team.
- Collaborate with team members, the broader agency and client brand teams.
- Provide day-to-day support to your supervisor and learn from them whenever you can.
- Manage and mentor junior staff members, providing support when needed.
- Support new business pitches.
- Ensure adherence to internal agency policies and procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required in a relevant field
- 4+ years of agency or related healthcare/pharmaceutical experience required
- Self-motivated, with the ability to create successful internal and external client relationships
- Experience developing tactical plans and brand initiatives
- Excellent writing skills and effective communication skills
- Strong financial management skills
- Experience working with and managing internal account, creative, and cross functional agency teams
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Must have hematology expertise
