Salary Range: 55k - 68k
The Account/Project Specialist reports to the Program Manager and provides operational and administrative support to active customer projects and assigned accounts. This role contributes to project execution and customer satisfaction by coordinating routine tasks, supporting cross functional communication, and ensuring timely responses to customer and internal requests.
The Account/Project Specialist works under general supervision and collaborates with Program Management, Engineering, and Sales teams to support project tracking, documentation, and customer interactions. The role focuses on learning established processes, maintaining accurate records, and escalating issues as appropriate. Success in this position is demonstrated through reliability, attention to detail, responsiveness to customer needs, and effective teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Support day to day coordination of active projects, including scheduling, tracking, and documentation
- Maintain accurate project and customer records in applicable systems
- Assist with routine customer communications and ensure timely responses to inquiries
- Support cross functional teams by coordinating information and tracking action items
- Prepare basic reports, summaries, and status updates as requested
- Identify and escalate project risks, delays, or data discrepancies to the Program Manager
- Follow established quality, safety, and operational procedures
- Contribute to a professional and customer‑focused experience through accuracy, responsiveness, and follow‑through
Qualifications
- Prior experience in defense, aerospace, and simulation industry considered a plus
- Strong organizational, communication, and attention to detail skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office toolset (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Basic proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and data systems
- Basic proficiency in ERP systems, specifically SAP – is preferred
- Must speak, read and write English
Education/Experience
- Associate’s degree in business, engineering, operations, or related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2-3 years of experience in account and/or project management
