What You’re Capable Of:
The Divisional Account Manager candidate we are looking for can:
- Own and grow a territory across key Southeast manufacturing hubs — Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, and Mississippi (80% of the business is in Birmingham, AL)
- Partner directly with engineers and technical teams on automation and vision system design
- Identify opportunities where machine vision can replace manual inspection on the factory floor
- Lead technical demos and real-world application discussions with engineering buyers
- Drive high-value CapEx projects from initial concept through full implementation
- Grow existing accounts while developing new business across emerging markets and verticals
- Conduct sales calls and deliver product updates, technical presentations, and training to customers
- Manage the full sales cycle consultatively — from discovery and scoping through close
- Maintain accurate CRM records and manage pipeline with a structured four-week planning approach
- Work cross-functionally with application engineers, purchasing, and internal technical support teams
What You’ve Obtained:
This position requires you to have the following:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical sales experience
- 3–5+ years of B2B technical or industrial sales experience; meeting or exceeding quota
- Comfort working with engineers and technical buyers through complex, consultative sales cycles
- Experience with CRM systems and structured territory management
- Willingness to travel approximately 50% across the Southeast US
- Genuine curiosity and interest in automation and machine vision technology
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Background in machine vision, robotics, or industrial automation sales
- Experience selling into OEM, Automotive Manufacturing, Material Handling, IIoT / Industry 4.0, Packaging, Mobile Equipment, or Semiconductor markets
This Divisional Account Manager position is field-based across the Southeast US (Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, and Mississippi). The role is targeting a base salary range of $120,000–$140,000 plus uncapped commission, with a comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, and more.
