Digital Content Accessibility Specialist/ Developer
Location: Phoenix, AZ 85007 (Hybrid)
3-4 weeks long and

Position Description
Job Summary:
-Responsible for ensuring that all digital content published by the Agencies is fully compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
standards, including materials available on public-facing websites and documents used to deliver public services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-Interpret and apply federal and state web accessibility rules and policies, such as those published by the ADA.
-Perform remediation and validation of digital content to achieve and maintain full ADA compliance.
-Convert or edit a variety of content types, including: ---Website and CMS (Content Management System) content. ---Microsoft Word documents and spreadsheets. ---PDF documents.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
-In-depth knowledge of web accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG guidelines) and their application to various digital document formats.
-Proven ability to remediate complex PDF, Word, and Excel files for accessibility.
-Experience with content management systems (CMS), preferable Drupal, and website accessibility best practices.
-Excellent communication skills to work effectively with multiple agency stakeholders and convey technical requirements.

-Must be available onsite for meetings as needed, so local candidates only
-Work will primarily be off-site
