****Applicants seeking short-term or part-time work with the University Hawai'i may apply for Casual Hire positions, which include administrative, professional, and technical (APT) or instructional-type positions. Because of the temporary nature of these appointments, Casual Hire employees are not eligible for most benefits as provided to regular BOR and Civil Service employees such as paid leave and holidays. Casual Hire appointments may last for up to 89 days for full-time employees, and up to 1 calendar year for part-time employees.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Process advising-related paperwork for CNS Students
• Provide drop-in academic advising and registration support for CNS Students
• Assist in processing overrides for CNS courses
• Support CNS SASC office functions, including but not limited to scheduling appointments, responding to emails, and answering phone inquiries
• Support implementation of CNS SASC recruitment, workshops, and events
• Provide academic advising for students in the College of Natural Sciences
• Support tracking student achievement of milestones and outreaching as necessary
• Support advisor outreach for early alert interventions
• Serve as the main point of contact for general CNS SASC inquires via phone, email, and text message
• Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree
• Experience working in a team environment
• Strong communication skills
Desired Qualifications:
• 1-year of advising and student success experience
