Ab Initio Developer (Sr Level)

Overview

Nakupuna Consulting is seeking anAb InitioDeveloperto joinour worksupporting the execution ofa large size, multi-year contract to the Integrated Personnel and Pay System – Army (IPPS-A) Army Military Payroll (AMP). The Developer’s key responsibility will beprovidingteam status in various projects, escalate issues as needed,assessandcommunicaterisks to the development schedule and project torepresentthe Data Integration Development team’s interests in cross-functional project teams and ensure project success.

Responsibilities

The following reflects management’s definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned.

• Preparestechnical documents including design specifications, architecture drawings, operational run books

• Collaborate throughout the organization on effective identification of technical issues

• Code management and development for Extract, Transform, & Load (ETL) routines

• Providing application design guidance and consultation,utilizinga thorough understanding of applicable technology,toolsand existing designs

• Collaboration with multiple technology teams, multiple product partners, and marketing operations teams

• Partnershipwithathird-party vendorsto ensure a holistic, fully integrated technical solution development into systems

• Analysis ofhighly complexbusiness requirements, designs and/or data requires evaluation of intangible variance factors

• Mentor junior Ab Initio developers

• ProvidesinputStandards and Best practices for test data management to help functional and regression testing

Qualifications

Skillsand Requirements:

• Works with other team members, including DBA's, ETL developers, Technical Architects, QA & Business Analysts

• Ensuresolution reuse

• Code, test, modify, debug, document, and implement Ab Initio Graphs utilizing the GDE environment

• A good understanding of replicationand parallel streamingtechnologies

• Minimum 3 years of experience in design and delivery of ETL process development usingAbinitio, Unix shell script

• Strong knowledge of Oracle, Teradatadatabasesand large data sets

• Experience in writing Technical, Functional documentation

Education and Experience:Bachelor of Science degree in a Computer Software or Engineering major or 2 or more years of experience within the federal government, DoD, Army, or IC preferred

Skills/Qualifications:SQL knowledgerequired. Strong communicationskillsrequired. Certifications inSAFefor Teamsand Security+preferred.

Clearance Requirements:Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Physical Requirements:The ideal candidate must at a minimum be able to meet the following physical requirements of the jobwith or withouta reasonableaccommodation:

• Ability to perform repetitive motions with the hands, wrists, and fingers.

• Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergency situations.
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer.

The Nakupuna Companies use a market-based compensation strategy to ensure that our employees are compensated within applicable market ranges commensurate with multiple factors, including but not limited to the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements, and position location. The projected compensation range for this position is $140,000.00 to $170,000.00 (annualized USD). The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Nakupuna Companies total compensation package for employees.
