A Japanese Speaking IT Specialist

Our client, a Japanese Chemical Trading company is hiring an IT specialist in their Itasca office, IL.

• Position: A Japanese speaking IT specialist
• Industry: Chemical Trading
• Location: Itasca, IL (Hybrid)
• Salary: 80-95k base + Benefits package

Responsibilities

• Manage Windows Servers and Azure environments
• Administer M365, Entra ID, Intune, Jamf, DNS, DHCP, and EDR
• Handle patching, scripting, imaging, and upgrades
• Maintain network infrastructure (firewalls, switches, routers, VPN, Wi-Fi)
• Monitor and enhance network security and performance
• Work with protocols like SD-WAN, OSPF, and BGP
• Provide Tier 1–2 support and help desk backup
• Manage IT inventory, updates, and vendor coordination
• Respond to support tickets (Jira preferred)
• Assist with disaster recovery, audits, and policy documentation
• Evaluate projects and vendors; support proposals and planning

Qualifications

• 3+ years of IT infrastructure, operations, or network support experience in a corporate environment
• Able to work cross-functionally and collaborate with a multicultural, global team
• Japanese skill is a big plus
• Travel is required (twice a year to other offices in USA)
