Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

Job Description

Join our team as an Mechanical Assembler, where you will work in a fast-paced environment to assemble sub-components and finished products. This role involves using hand and power tools, and operating an overhead crane to build units. We offer shifts across various times to suit your schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble units with hand and power tools.
  • Work in fast paced environment.
  • Assemble and fit metal products using hand and power tools.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and an overhead crane for assembly tasks.
  • Lift and fit products together, requiring the ability to lift 60lbs+.
  • Engage in regular lifting, climbing, standing, walking, and arm extension for extended periods.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with assembly, power tools, and hand tools.
  • Ability to operate an overhead crane.
  • Familiarity with assembly drawings and schematics.
  • Mechanical skills, including blueprint reading.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required upon conversion to permanent employment.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs+ independently.
  • Capacity to regularly walk, sit, and reach for extended periods.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
