340B Analyst (Hybrid)

A Brief Overview

The 340B Analyst will provide quality and organizational excellence through support of process improvement initiatives. Performs problem solving, independent decision-making and coordination of quality programs. Additionally, the 340B Analyst is responsible for auditing across eligible areas within the pharmacy operations, as related to the 340B Drug Pricing Program. This includes an eligibility review of patients and review of all purchases and payments to ensure 340B compliance and optimization.

What You Will Do
  • Evaluate patient eligibility for qualified and non-qualified patients by reviewing patient medical records, insurance plans, and visit statuses
  • Conduct daily audits of contract pharmacy claims to ensure 340B compliance and address and resolve reconciliation issues as they arise
  • Utilize data management tools to filter out non-eligible transactions, including drugs used to treat patients during inpatient care, Medicaid patients, manufacturer-provided free drugs, non-eligible locations, or prescriptions written by non-eligible providers
  • Collaborate with affiliated departments to ensure the integrity of the 340B Contract Pharmacy Program
  • Actively work on improving 340B program compliance through ongoing audits and process enhancements

Qualifications

Education
  • High School Equivalent / GED (Required)
Work Experience
  • 1+ years experience in a pharmacy, multi-system hospital, or physician practice setting (Required)
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills (Required proficiency)
  • Strong oral and written communication abilities (Required proficiency)
  • Strong technical skills in utilizing Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, and Outlook (Required proficiency)
  • Knowledge of the complexities and interdependencies of Insurance Benefits, Medical Records, and pharmacy operations (Preferred proficiency)
Licenses and Certifications
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) (Preferred)
