Job Description: Per Mar Security Services is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Summer Security Officer to support a client site undergoing building renovations. This role will primarily focus on fire watch duties, ensuring the safety of the premises during construction activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct hourly patrols (rounds) throughout designated areas of the building
Monitor for potential fire hazards, safety risks, or large leaks
Maintain a strong awareness of surroundings and report any concerns immediately
Accurately document patrols and incidents in written reports
Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and site protocols
Requirements:
Excellent attention to detail
Strong written communication skills
Ability to walk frequently and remain active throughout the shift
Dependable, responsible, and accountable
Punctual with a strong commitment to attendance and reliability
Ability to work independently and follow instructions
Preferred Qualities:
Prior security or patrol experience (not required but a plus)
Professional and responsible demeanor
Pass background check
Must pass on-site drug test at time of hire
Must be 18 years of age or older
Must possess the values important to Per Mar Security – Integrity, Communication, Excellent Service, and Accountability
Strong attention to detail
Must be able to be professional in all settings, maintain open communication with the Operations Manager, and be able to learn quickly
Must be able to obtain a DSPS Private Security Person license
Must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation
Must not have any felonies per DSPS Licensing requirements
