Thesepositions are seasonal and non-exempt.
The purpose of the class is to assist the Youth Program Leaders in planning and conducting before and after-school programs, summer day camps, summer playground activities, and other recreational programs. The class works under close supervision according to set procedures.
Minimum Requirements
Knowledge of rules and procedures of a variety of games, athletic sports, arts and crafts is preferred.
Experience working in the group care of children is preferred.
Must be at least 15 years of age and between the age of 15-17 at time of employment.
This position is safety sensitive and is subject to testing for alcohol and controlled substances in accordance with the City’s current substance abuse policy.
Additional Requirements
Requires effective communication with internal and external customers.
The incumbent may be considered “essential personnel” during City emergency situations or at the direction of the City Manager which may include long hours and unusual schedules.
