2026 Seasonal

Laborers and Truck Drivers (CDL)

Spring/Summer Seasonal

The Milford Department of Public Works is seeking energetic, dependable and conscientious individual(s) to fill the position(s) of Seasonal Laborers and/or Seasonal Truck Drivers within our Public Works Department.

Duties will include landscaping, grounds & building maintenance, construction activities and other tasks as assigned by our Parks and Cemeteries and/or Highway Foremen. Work is performed inside and out of doors in an environment which includes exposure to physical elements and/or to a number of disagreeable working conditions. Must be reliable. Hours generally will be 6:30-3:30 or 7:00- 3:00 (depending on location), Monday through Friday, May to October. Starting pay will be commensurate with position/experience. There are no benefits associated with either position.

SEASONAL LABORERS Experience – $20.00/hr-$23.00/hr DOE / Prefer minimum of 6 (six) months experience performing laboring, grounds keeping or building maintenance work; OR any combination of education and experience which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skill and abilities.

SEASONAL TRUCK DRIVERS CDL – $28.00/h -$30.00/hr DOE / NH CLASS B CDL required for some functions, CLASS A CDL preferred.

REQUIREMENTS – High School diploma or equivalent, must be at least 18 years of age, possess a valid NH Driver's License, have a steady/dependable work history and be safety conscious.
