Job Description

This 1st shift general production role focuses working with various sensor and scale systems for agriculture equipment - will be cross trained in 3+ departments

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret work orders to understand the full scope, specifications, and details of each assignment.
  • Interpret basic blueprints and follow specific assembly instructions to build products accurately and consistently.
  • Ensure the work cell remains fully stocked with necessary parts and materials, replenishing from the stock area as needed.
  • Set up and operate a variety of production machines, which may include soldering tools, microscopes, drills, fill machines, part washers, sand blasters, magnet cranes, or other equipment related to cable harness assembly.
  • Perform hands-on assembly tasks such as soldering, snipping, crimping, clamping, and related production activities.
  • Clean finished products and package them according to established quality and packaging standards.
  • Monitor product quality throughout the assembly and packaging process, reporting issues promptly.
  • Consult with a supervisor on any questionable situations involving materials, product quality, or procedures to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Follow all safety procedures while operating machinery and handling materials.
  • Collaborate with team members and participate in cross-training across multiple departments to support production needs.

Essential Skills

  • Any experience in general production, manufacturing, or similar hands-on work experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Soldering experience, especially in electronic assembly, is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with electronic assembly, cable harness assembly, and packaging processes.
  • Experience operating tools and machines such as soldering tools, microscopes, drills, fill machines, part washers, sand blasters, and magnet cranes is beneficial.
  • Willingness to learn new equipment and processes through cross-training in multiple departments.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a small production team.
  • Comfort working in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment.

Work Environment

This role is based in a smaller, climate-controlled production shop on 1st shift, working Monday through Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Overtime is generally voluntary, but there is currently about 5 hours of mandatory overtime per week.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Atkinson, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
