1850 Hours + Near Cravath | Funds Practice at a Midsize NYC Firm

LHH
New York, NY

LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a highly regarded midsize NYC law firm that is seeking a funds associate for their group. Details below:

  • You will represent all types of private funds across many different investment strategies including hedge funds, credit funds, venture funds, commodity pools and real estate funds.

  • The firm has been a leader in the private funds arena for 50+ years, advising hedge fund pioneers and top-tier investment managers. You will get Big Law-caliber work in a boutique, entrepreneurial environment where your contributions matter from day one.

  • You’re a great fit for this role if you have strong experience with hedge funds and other private funds, including hands-on work in fund formation and regulatory compliance (Investment Advisers Act of 1940 familiarity is a big plus).

  • This funds group operates with a lean team structure, so associates work directly with partners and clients on fund formations and transactions. You won’t be siloed – in fact, the practice often works together with other departments (Tax, Corporate, etc.) to deliver full-service support to fund clients. The team is looking for an associate who thrives in a client-facing role.

  • This firm was built with balance in mind. The annual billable target is 1,850 hours. Hybrid schedule.

  • The firm offers salary near the Cravath scale.

JD and law firm experience required.
