1031 Exchange & Escrow Coordinator

Standard Escrow, LLC · Charlotte, NC · Full-time · On-site

COMPANY DESCRIPTION

Standard Title, LLC is a commercial-only title insurance agency offering policies from leading underwriters, including First American Title, Chicago Title, Stewart Title, Fidelity National Title, and WFG National Title. Specializing in commercial title insurance, escrow, disbursement, and title search coordination, we serve clients across North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and Georgia.

Standard Exchange, LLC — our wholly owned subsidiary — serves as a qualified intermediary facilitating IRC Section 1031 tax-deferred exchanges for commercial real estate investors and owners across the Southeast.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a full-time, on-site 1031 Exchange & Escrow Coordinator based in our Charlotte, NC office. This is a dual-function support role embedded in Charlotte operations.

1031 Exchange Coordination (primary) — You will support our Exchange Officers in facilitating tax-deferred 1031 exchanges from file opening through final close-out: document preparation and DocuSign routing, deadline tracking (45-day and 180-day periods), wire verification support, and proactive client communication at every phase. You will be the person who makes sure nothing falls through — not a deadline, not a document, not a follow-up.

Escrow Coordination (secondary) — You will also support Standard Escrow in managing escrow files: PSA intake and acknowledgment, wire instruction transmittal through secure channels, incoming wire deposit acknowledgment, pre-closing communication cadence, and post-closing file work.

The role may also involve client outreach support, referral partner communication, and other tasks related to the company's exchange and escrow services.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years of experience in transaction coordination, paralegal work, title, escrow, or financial services support

• Meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills — you manage multiple active files under hard deadlines without missing a step

• Strong written and interpersonal communication skills; you write clearly, directly, and without errors

• Proficiency in document-heavy digital workflows (DocuSign, ShareFile, or equivalents)

• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment about when to escalate

• Professional maturity and calm under pressure — closings have real deadlines

• Knowledge of 1031 like-kind exchanges, commercial real estate, or title insurance is a plus

• professional experience in real estate or law preferred

COMPENSATION

Based upon experience, plus full benefits including health coverage, dental, PTO, and professional development support.
