Diagnose, repair, inspect and maintain motorized and mechanical equipment associated with tunnels and movable bridges. Diagnose, repair, inspect and maintain motorized and mechanical equipment related to construction, highway maintenance, grounds, and automotive equipment of all types and in varied locations.

How you will contribute:
Diagnosis and Repair: Diagnose vehicle, equipment or asset failures using electronic testing equipment, service and equipment repair manuals and on-line resources. Recommend outsourcing for major repairs when needed. Emergency Operations: Prepare equipment for emergency operations. Make equipment repairs to reduce downtime during emergency operations to include on-the-road repairs. Information Processing and Paperwork: Prepare, process, and maintain required maintenance and repair documentation. Generate, complete and close-out work orders in computer system. Perform time and leave entry. Prepare parts requests. Complete paperwork for warranty inspections and repairs. Perform Repair Work: Perform repairs and maintain drainage pumps, piping systems, large fire mains, and related hydraulic equipment water disposal systems. Preventive Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance on drawbridge and tunnel machinery according to schedule and guidelines. Make repairs as needed when deficiencies are found or recommend outsourcing. Preventive Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance on vehicles, equipment or assets according to PM schedule and guidelines. Make repairs as needed when deficiencies are found or recommend outsourcing.

Ability to operate various types of light, medium and heavy-duty trucks, equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner. Ability to perform heavy manual labor. Ability to read and comprehend service and equipment repair manuals, gauges, testing devices. blueprints, electrical or mechanical reports, schematics or diagrams. Ability to read and comprehend service and repair manuals, gauges and testing devices. Ability to read, write, and perform basic math calculations. Knowledge of control circuits and troubleshooting controls for pumps, motors, and various other electrical or mechanical systems used in an industrial environment. Knowledge of cutting, welding and fabrication operations. Knowledge of general shop procedures. Knowledge of the diagnosis, repair and maintenance of automotive, construction and maintenance equipment. Knowledge of the diagnosis, repair and maintenance of electrical equipment, hydraulics, and National Electrical Code. Skill in the use of computers and software applications. Skill in the use of hand and power tools and advanced electronic and computerized diagnostic equipment. Skilled in diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical malfunctions.
Minimum Qualifications:

Knowledge of the diagnosis, repair, maintenance of electrical equipment, hydraulics, and National Electrical Code. Safety shoes required. Skill in the use of computers, hand and power tools, advanced electronic and computerized diagnostic equipment. Skill in use of tools and instruments used to install electrical or mechanical equipment and diagnosing or troubleshooting malfunctions.
Additional Considerations:
ASE certifications Commercial Driver' License (CDL). Experience in industrial, mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical trade. Experience repairing and maintaining mechanical or electrical components of movable bridges and, or tunnel machinery.
