The Walmart Connect Marketplace Advertising Team is seeking a Team Lead to help manage and sell Walmart Connect's advertising solutions to our 3P sellers in Walmart's marketplace. Walmart Connect is seeking a leader who is knowledgeable and passionate about marketplaces and e-commerce. This role will be at the center of driving the growth of Walmart Connect's long-tail revenue stream. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the marketplace competitive landscape, trends, and business models. You'll contribute to a high-caliber team in a business that is experiencing rapid and dramatic growth. We are looking for demonstrated performance in a constantly changing, ambiguous environment, and problem-solving leadership with limited oversight.

As the Team Lead on the Marketplace Advertising team, you will report to the Head of Marketplace Advertising. In this role you'll play both player and coach as you foster the relationships of associates, sellers, merchant organization, marketplace organization and other cross-functional stakeholders alike. The Team Lead will be directly responsible for leading a team to help 3P Sellers [advertisers] get the best results from their marketing campaigns with Walmart through consultation, education, optimization, and support. Ideal candidates will have knowledge of marketplace dynamics, small businesses, automated hands-on-keys platforms [self-serve, DSPs, API partners] and a deep knowledge of measurement & analytics used to evaluate performance. Additionally, be able to coach, develop and motivate team members; a keen eye for identifying process and workflow opportunities; and a willingness to roll up their sleeves and execute the tactics.

Responsibilities:

  • Driving seller growth: Partner with strategic sellers [advertisers] to drive growth and serve as a primary account executive for a portfolio of partners and act as a trusted advisor, ensuring long-term, mutually beneficial relationships.
  • Managing business performance: Lead annual and quarterly business planning and performance tracking for strategic sellers and partners
  • Leading and developing talent: Manage, coach, and train a team of high-performing Partner Managers, Search Performance Managers and Campaign Managers that continuously meet or exceed their account goals and revenue targets.
  • Managing financial performance: Drive performance against P&L levers including gross merchandise value (GMV) and contribution profit.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of Seller [advertisers] accounts
  • Exhibits a high level of competency in oral and written communication skills

Basic Qualifications:

  • eCommerce Marketplace experience with a high understanding of the search industry
  • 10+ years' experience in digital sales, agency and ad tech experience with a focus on marketplace, Retail Media, Search, lower-funnel conversion strategies, data and analytics, and PMP/automation background.

The annual salary range for this position is $100,000.00-$240,500.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
