🔌 Low Voltage / Wi‑Fi Installation Technician

A growing low‑voltage services organization is seeking experienced Low Voltage Technicians to support large commercial projects throughout the Charleston area, with a strong focus on hospitals and schools. This role is hands‑on and production‑driven, ideal for techs who can handle bulk cabling and high‑volume Wi‑Fi deployments.

We’re looking for professionals who show up ready to work, present themselves well, and consistently deliver quality work in customer‑facing environments.

• Pulling and installing CAT5/CAT6 (and some fiber) in commercial settings
• Mounting, replacing, and cutover of Wi‑Fi Access Points (12+ APs per day expected)
• Terminating and punching down cables (patch panels, 110/66 blocks)
• Interpreting low‑voltage blueprints and symbols
• Supporting Wi‑Fi installations (MAC addresses, link lights, patching, maintaining live systems during changeover)
• Working in active hospitals and schools, combining construction‑style work with occupied facilities
• Maintaining a professional appearance and customer‑first attitude

Required Skills

• 1+ year of low voltage experience
• Ability to interpret basic blueprint symbols
• Knowledge of color codes, RJ45 vs. RJ11, and J‑Hook standards (5’ spacing)
• Own tools preferred
• Comfortable working in healthcare and education environments

• Typically 4×10s (Mon–Thurs) or 5×8s (Mon–Fri) depending on project and crew
• Some shift work required for hospital OR access (after 5pm)
• 80–90% local to Charleston, with 10–20% travel to nearby regional locations
• Overtime available based on project demands

• Consistent 40+ hours per week

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Hanahan, SC.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $27.00/hr.
