The Human Resources Department is opening an internal recruitment for two Variable Hour Employee (VHE) Administrative Specialist II positions to provide additional administrative and operational support to the HR team. This limited-term assignment is structured as a developmental stretch opportunity for employees looking to broaden their experience, strengthen cross-functional skills, and gain insight into HR operations.
Each position will work 10 hours per week with a flexible schedule during core business hours (Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.) and will report to the HR Business Systems Manager.
Responsibilities may include digital document preparation and records management, data entry and processing in HR systems (such as Laserfiche, NEOGOV, and New World), Personnel Action processing, basic financial tasks (PCard and AP entry), and general administrative coordination related to onboarding, offboarding, and HR projects. Applicants must be current VHE employees who meet the minimum qualifications for the Administrative Specialist II position.
Hiring salary is dependent upon experience.
The hiring range for the Administrative Specialist II is $20.78 - $31.17 per hour

High School or GED diploma and a minimum of three years' experience in general office work and two years' customer service experiencerequired. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered. Must have solid computer skills/proficiencywith all Microsoft Office applications and good basic mathematical skills.
