Financial Auditor Responsibilities & Duties

• Perform financial audits to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
• Identify and evaluate internal control systems, risk management processes, and financial reporting processes
• Conduct tests of transactions, accounts, and data to verify accuracy and completeness of financial records
• Prepare audit reports and communicate findings and recommendations to management
• Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls and financial systems
• Work with other departments to resolve financial issues and improve processes
• Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards, regulations, and best practices

Financial Auditor Qualifications & Skills

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience with data analytics and financial software.
• Strong background in financial regulations and compliance.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel functions and other analytical tools.
• Experience in forensic accounting or fraud detection.
• Advanced understanding of internal control systems.
• Previous experience in public accounting or auditing firms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in financial auditing, with a strong understanding of accounting standards and regulations
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred
