The Fox Crossing Park & Recreation Department is looking for an instructor to teach dance to lead the dance program and teach dance classes to youth (primarily ballet and jazz), ranging in age between 4-16 years.
Dates/Times Position starts in September and concludes with an annual dance recital in March or April of the following year. Classes take place on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, exact schedule to be determined.
Usual Hours Per Week 5-8 hours (subject to classes meeting minimum enrollment numbers). Prep time/choreography and class time is paid.
Demonstrate dance techniques.
Prepare class curriculum, choreography and content.
Prepare class for end of season dance recital.
Communicate with parents of students regarding the student's progress and any other class related issues.
Prior experience as an instructor and working with children.
