The Village At Summerville is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) with expertise in wound care to join our team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine skin assessments and weekly wound evaluations, initiate interventions in collaboration with physicians or wound specialists.
  • Maintain weekly wound documentation.
  • Reviews admission assessment and validate admission skin assessment.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed; maintain accurate documentation in Electronic Health Records.
  • Supervise and direct nursing staff; ensure compliance with care plans, MDS requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare providers regarding care plans, changes in condition, and discharge planning.
  • Perform clinical procedures including venipuncture, IV therapy, and emergency care as needed.
  • Oversee admissions, discharges, and transfers; maintain medication inventory and cleanliness of medication carts.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and coordinate wellness activities to support resident health and socialization.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in Nursing. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of South Carolina.
  • CPR Certified.
  • Intermediate computer skills.

Preferred Requirements:

  • BSN or MSN. Five years of wound care experience in long-term care. Wound Care Certification.
  • Advanced computer skills. Knowledge of Electronic Medical Record Documentation and wound staging and compliance.
