Job Title: Wiring Technician

Job Description

The Mechanical Technician will interpret electrical schematics to assemble and/or wire electrical power systems, including switchgears and panels. This role involves repetitive tasks in a production facility, where the assembler will learn to wire a panel based on a schematic and repeat the procedure until production volume is met.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret and wire electrical power systems according to schematics.
  • Use various hand tools for sub-pan and systems assemblies.
  • Perform sub panel layouts, drill and tap holes with minimum supervision.
  • Wire sub-pans, door devices, and other power equipment under supervision.
  • Wire using wire way and loom, and perform free-bundling without loom or wire way.
  • Wire simple relay circuits and perform daisy chaining with common wires in drawings.
  • Perform mechanical assembly on switchgear/switchboard under supervision.
  • Mount all pertinent equipment and perform any other duties as assigned.
  • Wire sub-pans, door devices, and other power equipment according to ISO standards and drawings.
  • Wire and route harnesses neatly with or without wire loom.
  • Understand and apply the usage of hardware such as screws, bolts, nuts, washers.
  • Use hand tools for extended periods.

Essential Skills

  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to read blueprints or electrical schematics.
  • Proficiency in using hand/power tools.
  • Ability to read a tape measure.
  • Experience in crimping wire.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Electrical assembling experience.
  • Point to Point wiring experience.
  • Experience in reading electrical schematics.
  • Candidates from Siemens or Raytheon, or those with military backgrounds or HVAC experience are preferred.

Work Environment

Work in a climate-controlled, extremely nice facility. Contractors will have the opportunity to sit at a bench while wiring panels and switchgears. The environment allows for comfortable clothing and provides all necessary tools. Each workspace offers ample space, ensuring a comfortable and efficient work setting. The workweek is a 4-day schedule from Monday to Thursday, 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with Fridays from 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Overtime is available on Fridays.

This is a Contract position based out of ALPHARETTA, GA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
