Job Title: Welder

1st & 2nd shift - $24-$30

Job Description

This role focuses on TIG and MIG welding of mild steel, aluminum, and stainless steel to produce a wide range of custom metal products. You will work from blueprints in a high-volume, project-based environment where parts and assignments change periodically. This is a hands-on production welding position in a clean, well-equipped shop with opportunities to grow into areas such as fabrication and painting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform TIG (approximately 60%) and MIG (approximately 40%) welding on mild steel, aluminum, and stainless steel components.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to complete welding tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Set up, operate, and adjust welding equipment and machinery, including basic button-operated production machines.
  • Use hand and power tools to prepare, fit, and finish metal parts according to specifications.
  • Work with sheet metal and fabricated components to assemble and weld custom products.
  • Measure and verify dimensions using a tape measure and other basic measuring tools to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Inspect welds and finished parts for defects and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
  • Follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Collaborate with team members and adapt to changing projects and priorities as needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Technical degree or formal training in fabrication or welding.
  • Experience in a high-volume or custom metal fabrication environment.
  • Familiarity with a variety of hand and power tools used in metalworking.
  • Comfort working on projects that change periodically and require flexibility.

You work in a very large, clean shop equipped with modern, updated welding and fabrication equipment, spread across two neighboring buildings. The environment is laid-back yet productive, with a focus on quality work and mutual support. Work is performed on 1st and 2nd shifts in a production shop setting, using TIG and MIG welding equipment, hand and power tools, and various metalworking machines. Attire is typical for a welding and fabrication shop, with appropriate workwear and safety gear required to perform the job safely.

This is a Permanent position based out of Rogers, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $32.00/hr.
