Job Title: Welder

Job Description

Join our team as a Welder, where you will utilize your skills to fabricate and assemble steel to build equipment. You will read blueprints and engineering drawings to ensure the correct assembly and welding of products. This role involves operating material moving equipment and assembling heavy equipment, either post-paint or pre-fabrication.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and weld steel to build equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints for accurate assembly.
  • Use measuring tools to ensure parts meet appropriate tolerances.
  • Perform MiG or Sub Arc welding.
  • Assemble heavy equipment before and after painting.
  • Operate motorized equipment, including overhead cranes and jib hoists.
  • Lift materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

Essential Skills

  • 1+ years of production assembly experience.
  • 1+ years of welding experience.
  • 1+ years of blueprint reading skills.
  • 1+ years of power tool usage experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 2+ years of welding experience preferred.
  • Comfortable working at heights up to 65 feet.

Work Environment

Work in a historic, nostalgic production environment where conditions may be hot or cold, but temperatures are controlled. Join a team of 10 assembly/welders working on the first shift from Monday to Thursday, 6am-4:30pm, with occasional overtime on Fridays and Saturdays.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Paton, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
