Location: Ocala, FL

Pay: $18–$24/hr (based on experience)

Shift: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:30/4:00 PM

Overtime: Available on Fridays

This manufacturer serves the power generation industry by producing diesel fuel storage tanks, trailers, stairs, and platforms.

  • Tanks & trailers are built from carbon steel
  • Stairs & platforms are built from aluminum
  • All products are custom-built to meet project specifications
  • Designed for commercial and industrial applications, typically sold through engine and generator distributors
Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced MIG Welder to join a fabrication team. The Welder will be responsible for welding structural steel to build large skids and will work directly from blueprints and schematics. Some minor prep and clean-up work may be required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform MIG welding on steel components
  • Weld structural steel for large skid assemblies
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics
  • Perform basic material prep and clean-up
  • Maintain accuracy, quality, and safety standards
Weld Test Requirement

Candidates must complete an in-person weld test during the interview process:

  • Weld 4x8 steel coupons in a T-joint (flat position)
  • Perform a vertical weld on the same material
  • MIG welding on steel
  • Final welds will be bend tested in a brake press to evaluate strength and integrity

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ocala, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr.
