Welder

Our client, an industry leader in manufacturing and fabrication, is seeking a dedicated Welder to join their team. As a Welder, you will be an essential part of the Industrial department supporting the fabrication and repair processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, technical proficiency, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Welder

Location: Clare, MI

Pay Range: $20 to $21 an hour depending on shift

Shift:
1st shift - 8 am to 4 pm (Monday thru Friday)
3rd shift - 10 pm to 6 am (Sunday to Thursday)
*overtime is scheduled prior to shift start time and can be heavy including Saturdays.

What's the Job?

• Join, fabricate, and repair metal and other weldable materials using appropriate techniques and welding devices.
• Position parts according to work orders, routings, and blueprints to ensure precise assembly.
• Regulate welding machines for proper current, wire feed, and gas flow to achieve optimal results.
• Ensure the quality of welds by inspecting fit, function, and cosmetic appearance, exceeding quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to all safety regulations and protocols.

What's Needed?

• High School diploma or equivalent. REQUIRED
• At least one (1) year of welding experience.
• MIG and TIG experience
• Knowledge of blueprint reading and welding symbols.
• Basic math skills and ability to accurately read a tape measure.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and solve practical problems in fabrication.
