Location: Cedar Rapids, IA

We are seeking skilled MIG Welders to join our growing manufacturing team. In this role, you’ll work in a hands-on production environment. If you take pride in your craftsmanship and want reliable hours, strong benefits, and growth potential, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

• Perform MIG welding on aluminum feed trailers
• Weld and tack aluminum components using .035 wire
• Read and interpret blueprints to determine weld locations, measurements, and positioning
• Climb into bins and trailer compartments as needed to complete welds
• Maintain quality and safety standards throughout the fabrication process

What We’re Looking For

Required Skills & Experience

• 6+ months of MIG welding experience
• 1+ year of on-the-job welding experience
• Experience welding steel or aluminum
• Ability to read a tape measure and blueprints

Additional Qualifications

• Comfortable climbing into trailers and working in confined spaces
• Strong attention to detail
• Willingness to work assigned shifts

Work Environment & Schedule

• Manufacturing facility located on the southwest side of Cedar Rapids
• Focused on aluminum feed transportation equipment
• General shop environment (cool in winter, warm in summer)
• Departments include welding, service, and final assembly

Training & Shifts

• New hires train on 1st shift for the first couple of weeks
• Available shifts:
  • 1st Shift: 5:00 AM–1:30 PM or 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
  • 2nd Shift: 2:30 PM–11:00 PM
  • 3rd Shift: 9:30 PM–6:00 AM

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cedar Rapids, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr.
