Welder / Fabricator – 1st Shift

Job Description

This 1st shift Welder / Fabricator role focuses on performing high-quality welding, fabrication, and assembly work in a manufacturing environment. You will read and interpret blueprints, prepare and assemble metal components, and operate various welding processes and material handling equipment to produce precise and durable products.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding operations using Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), and TIG welding in accordance with established weld procedures.
• Clean and inspect welds to ensure quality, accuracy, and attention to detail meet required standards.
• Analyze engineering blueprints and specifications to plan, lay out, position, and secure parts and assemblies.
• Tack and weld parts and assemblies using appropriate fixtures and procedures provided.
• Heat, form, and dress metal parts as part of the fabrication process.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of related work experience in welding and fabrication.
• Proficiency with Gas Metal Arc, Flux-Cored Arc, Shielded Metal Arc, and TIG welding processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and specifications.
• Demonstrated experience in metal fabrication, including layout, positioning, and securing of parts and assemblies.

Work Environment

This role is based in a typical manufacturing environment with metal fabrication and welding operations. The position is on 1st shift, working Monday through Thursday from 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Friday from 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. You will work around welding equipment, fabrication tools, overhead cranes, jib hoists, and forklifts. The environment requires appropriate work attire suitable for a manufacturing and welding setting, including the use of personal protective equipment as required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mars, PA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Mars,PA.

This position is anticipated to close on Apr 27, 2026.
