Job Description

The warehouse worker receives, stores, and issues materials, equipment, and other items within a stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard, ensuring accurate inventory control and safe, efficient material handling.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming stock items, count quantities accurately, and record all data manually or using a computer system.
• Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.
• Verify inventory records by comparing system data to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or correct errors as needed.
• Store items in an orderly, clearly labeled, and easily accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other designated areas.
• Label stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment to ensure proper tracking.
• Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to support a safe, organized, and compliant work environment.
• Keep accurate records of stock usage, damage, and the condition of stock handling equipment.
• Examine and inspect stock items for wear, defects, or damage and promptly report issues to supervisors.
• Provide assistance, guidance, and support to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers to ensure smooth operations.
• Operate forklifts and perform general material handling tasks such as loading, unloading, and moving products as required.

• Solid analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work effectively as a team player while maintaining strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies that support effective security operations and protection of people, data, property, and facilities.
• Proficiency in operating a forklift safely and efficiently.
• Experience with general labor, material handling, packing, and unloading tasks.
• High school diploma or GED.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience, including experience in roles such as Material Handler.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vonore, TN.

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Vonore,TN.
