Job Description

This Warehouse Worker role focuses on supporting a high-volume returns operation for a K–12 ramp-up in a fast-paced distribution environment. You will help keep products moving by loading and unloading packages, sorting and handling returned items, and ensuring orders are processed accurately and efficiently. The position offers opportunities to work collaboratively with an energetic team on either first or second shift.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload packages from trailers and delivery trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
• Sort, stage, and organize packages and returns to ensure they reach the correct destination or processing area.
• Handle returned merchandise for the K–12 program, including basic rework and repackaging as needed.
• Pick and pack orders accurately according to established procedures and production goals.
• Perform general labor tasks such as material handling, stacking, and moving products throughout the warehouse.
• Support shipping and receiving activities, including verifying, moving, and preparing items for outbound shipment or storage.
• Operate basic warehouse equipment and tools as required to complete daily tasks.
• Lift, carry, and move boxes and materials throughout the shift while following safety and ergonomic guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all warehouse safety policies and procedures.
• Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and timelines.

Essential Skills

• Experience working in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Ability to perform loading and unloading tasks safely and efficiently.
• Capability to lift, carry, and move packages and materials throughout the shift.
• Experience with order picking, packing, and general material handling.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, production-driven setting.
• Reliability and strong work ethic, with the ability to follow instructions and established processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in returns processing or rework is a plus.
• Background in shipping and receiving operations is beneficial.
• Experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts is an advantage.
• Familiarity with inventory processes and basic production workflows is helpful.

Work Environment

This position is based in a warehouse environment within the returns section of a large distribution facility. The work area is fast-paced and production-focused, with frequent movement, lifting, and handling of packages and materials. Overhead fans provide airflow, but conditions can be hot during the summer and cooler in the winter months, so you should be comfortable working in a variable-temperature setting. The role involves standing, walking, and performing physical tasks throughout the shift on either first or second shift, using standard warehouse tools and equipment as needed.

This is a Contract position based out of Elizabethtown, KY.

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Elizabethtown,KY.
