Where is the work:

Job Summary:The Salvage Technician/Warehouse Assistant is responsible for disassembling unused or damaged equipment to salvage functional parts for reuse. When not engaged in salvage activities, the individual will assist with general warehousing duties, including inventory management, shipping, and receiving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Salvage Operations:

    • Disassemble unused or damaged equipment to identify and retrieve functional parts.

    • Test and clean salvaged parts to ensure they meet quality standards.

    • Document salvaged parts and update inventory records accordingly.

    • Dispose of non-salvageable materials in accordance with company policies and environmental regulations.

  • Warehouse Assistance:

    • Assist in receiving, unpacking, and storing incoming inventory.

    • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.

    • Conduct regular inventory counts and audits.

    • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.

    • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Previous experience in equipment disassembly, salvage operations, or warehousing preferred.

  • Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical components.

  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).

  • Basic computer skills for inventory management and documentation.

Work Environment:

  • Warehouse setting with exposure to varying temperatures.
