Overview

  • This role is a multi-shift role

Supervises the daily planning, organization, and operation of warehouse functions for an assigned shift or group in partnership with the Facility Manager. Oversee the receiving, storage, distribution, and shipment of raw materials, supplies, and finished goods to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate operations. Responsible for safety, quality, inventory control, warehousing, transportation, maintenance, and regulatory compliance within the warehouse.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee warehouse shipping and receiving activities to meet operational, cost, productivity, and safety objectives.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and efficient work environment in compliance with Company policies and all Federal, State, and Local regulations, including quality, food safety, and HACCP requirements.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems, data, and analytics to track performance, monitor inventory, and proactively identify and resolve operational issues.
  • Manage inventory accuracy, rotation, and material flow to prevent spoilage, shortages, or errors; ensure timely and accurate supply of raw materials to packaging and production areas.
  • Partner with the Facility Manager to implement cost-effective controls for labor, capital assets, operating expenses, maintenance costs, inventory levels, and process errors.
  • Review warehouse budgets and monitor labor costs, overtime, and attendance using Kronos or other time management systems.
  • Provide leadership to warehouse staff through training, coaching, development, performance evaluation, and scheduling to ensure operational readiness and compliance.
  • Ensure staff are equipped with proper tools, equipment, and training to perform duties safely and effectively.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance and repair programs for warehouse equipment, storage racking, tanks, and structures to ensure safe and reliable operation.
  • Oversee loading and unloading activities to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and handling requirements.
  • Resolve discrepancies related to inventory, invoices, packing slips, and receiving documentation in coordination with plant accounting; maintain accurate records.
  • Serve as a Qualified Individual under the plant’s Food Safety Plan, supporting preventive controls, supply chain controls, monitoring, and verification activities.
  • Maintain positive employee, corporate, and community relations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of warehouse or production experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a food-related industry.
  • Associates degree in business or equivalent experience/education in warehouse management.
  • SAP experience highly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of receiving/shipping, warehouse and material handling operations, methods and practices.
  • Lean and 6 sigma or other continuous improvement experience preferred.
