Warehouse Operations Supervisor

The focus of this position is to facilitate all aspects of Relay Express’ cross-dock and logistical warehouse of the Detroit (Romulus, MI) Branch. This person will meet all service requirements while adhering to the policies and procedures of Relay Express, Inc. The candidate must possess strong relationship skills and always maintain a positive solution-based attitude. The ideal candidate will have a strong intrapreneurial spirit and strong sense of ownership for the performance and appearance of their branch location.

Responsibilities:

·       Have a complete understanding of Relay Express' warehousing/logistics, service programs, customers, and service parameter definitions.

·       Follow customer specific SOP and ensure all inbound and outbound deliveries are completed daily.

·       Responsible for keeping the warehouse looking professional, clean, safe, and organized daily.

·       Sign for and complete all incoming and inbound deliveries according to customer requirements during assigned shift.

·       Pull parts for all outgoing orders, making sure to follow all specific requirements. Example: correct quantity, contact names, part numbers, serial numbers, return packs, etc.

·       Maintain professional attire, language and business demeanor in all dealings with customers, employees and vendors.

·       Receive inbound / outbound freight and stage appropriately using forklift and pallet jack.

o  Stage pallets for outbound routes in appropriate spots in load order for the driver with correct paperwork and placarding.

o  Each skid labeled per customer.

o  Freight recorded and checked on linehaul report.

·       Perform daily yard checks of all equipment.

·       Perform cycle counts and inventory checks as needed and provide detailed reports to the customer.

·       Obtain forklift certification through company-provided certification course.

·       Adhere to the Relay Express Social Covenant

·       Must be able to make a delivery on occasion as needed.

·       Maintain Corporate Safety and DOT standards at a local level:

·       Other duties as assigned.

·       Ability to manage multiple factors in a fast-paced environment.

·       Ability to work in an unsupervised manner.

·       Must be able to lift up to 65 lbs.

·       Forklift Certified


Schedule, Benefits, and Compensation

·       Salary: $45,000-$50,000 based on experience

·       Monday through Friday, Daytime hours TBD

·       Benefits available after 60 days
