Warehouse Manager - 2nd Shift (M-F 6p-2:30a)

This position will work closely with the Sr. Warehouse Manager to oversee the 2nd shift operations of our climate-controlled distribution center. This position may include but is not limited to the following:


Responsibilities:

  • Working manager of the 2nd shift team of 25 – 40 employees
  • Oversees and participates in all aspects of 2nd Shift including: order fulfillment, inventory control, product flow, personnel, replenishment, put-away and equipment maintenance. Ensuring all orders are processed accurately and on time; committing to 100% customer satisfaction.
  • Onboards, trains, develops and manages team of leads and associates. Creating a positive, safe and clean working environment for maintaining employee safety and morale while implementing and maintaining 5S principles.
  • Maintain seamless warehouse operations between 1st and 2nd shifts through clear communication.
  • Balance daily administrative duties: completing reports, personnel management and transition communications alongside daily operational expectations: orders processed and inventory management.
  • Motivate, teach, and hold team members accountable by coaching, counseling and disciplining staff, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. Knowing the company employee handbook and standards to correct behavior with positive reinforcement.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum five (5) years of warehouse leadership experience in roles of Supervisor and/or Manager showing progressive growth in responsibility and leadership.
  • Minimum ten (10) years of warehouse, manufacturing or distribution center environment experience with strong background in Outbound order fulfillment and/or Inventory required.
  • Exceptional people-management and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage and inspire a team, set expectations, emphasize accuracy, track performance metrics, and help improve production and processes.
  • Ability to prioritize objectives, while also being hands-on to ensure the job is done: Comfortably lifting 50 lbs, pushing carts over 60 lbs and use ladders. Must be able to physically stand, reach, pull, bend, stoop and kneel for long periods of time in a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations with a positive can-do attitude.
  • Knowledge and experience with 5S principles and implementation.
  • Forklift experience required.
  • Must be local to the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
  • Must be flexible to meet demands of business (Some mandatory OT that includes Sunday.
  • Must be able to meet training requirement -Week 1= Monday-Thursday 8a-5p + Friday 7:30a-4:30p and Week 2=Monday-Friday 1p-10p

Compensation and Benefits:
