Job Description

The Warehouse Associate supports a manufacturing and stockroom operation by accurately receiving, storing, and tracking parts and materials using ERP and electronic inventory systems. This role combines hands-on material handling with computer-based data entry, ensuring inventory records remain accurate, up to date, and compliant with export-controlled requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming goods, verify quantities and part numbers against documentation, and ensure accuracy before accepting shipments.
  • Store parts and materials in the stockroom in an organized, logical manner to support efficient retrieval and inventory control.
  • Perform picking and packing activities to support production and shipping needs while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
  • Enter and post material transactions into the ERP or electronic inventory system, ensuring all movements are recorded correctly and promptly.
  • Maintain and update inventory records, including adjustments, transfers, and status changes, to keep electronic data aligned with physical stock.
  • Locate, count, and reconcile parts during inventory activities, including cycle counts and full inventory checks, to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Conduct part counting and verification to support accurate inventory levels and prevent stockouts or overages.
  • Maintain accurate electronic documentation related to inventory movement, material status, and transaction history.
  • Use Microsoft Office and other computer tools to support data entry, reporting, and communication related to inventory and stockroom activities.
  • Handle materials safely and efficiently, following established procedures within a regulated aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to support production schedules and overall operational goals.
  • Comply with export-controlled technology requirements and all applicable regulations governing material handling and documentation.
Essential Skills
  • At least 1 year of clerical or data entry experience.
  • Experience with ERP or electronic inventory systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and inventory handling.
  • Ability to perform part counting and verification with a high degree of precision.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Eligibility to comply with export-controlled technology requirements.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in receiving, picking, packing, and material handling in a warehouse or stockroom environment.
  • Familiarity with inventory transaction processing and electronic documentation practices.
  • Comfort working in a regulated environment supporting aerospace or other high-reliability manufacturing operations.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.

Work Environment

This position operates in a manufacturing and stockroom setting that supports aerospace manufacturing operations. The schedule runs from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a 30-minute unpaid lunch. Work involves a combination of physical material handling and computer-based inventory and data entry tasks using ERP systems and standard office software. The environment is team-oriented and regulated, including adherence to export-controlled technology requirements.

This is a Contract position based out of Whippany, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.60 - $20.60/hr.
