Material Handlers on 1st and 2nd shift

Job Description

The Material Handler supports filling operations and laboratory activities within the reagents department by safely and accurately handling materials throughout the facility. This role includes shipping and receiving, inventory management within the Oracle system, kitting, labeling, and general warehouse tasks, while following documented procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices in a clean, regulated environment.

Responsibilities

  • Handle materials throughout the filling operations and laboratory areas within the reagents department in a safe and organized manner.
  • Perform shipping and receiving activities, including preparing, packaging, and processing incoming and outgoing materials and products.
  • Use the Oracle system to assist with inventory tracking, updates, and adjustments after completing training.
  • Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts to move, stage, and store materials.
  • Perform labeling, kitting, packing, and other warehouse tasks to support production and order fulfillment.
  • Use RF scanners to accurately pick, track, and verify inventory and materials.
  • Follow documented procedures and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements during all handling and documentation activities.
  • Accurately complete and maintain required documentation, including Device History Records (DHR) where applicable.
  • Use hand and power assembly tools such as torque wrenches, screwdrivers, drills, and electronic testing equipment as needed in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including smock, hairnet, beard net as needed, safety glasses, and steel or composite toe shoes.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area within the warehouse and production support spaces.
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to support smooth daily operations and meet production timelines.

Essential Skills

  • At least 6 months of experience in material handling, warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, or a closely related role.
  • Demonstrated experience in shipping and receiving, including packaging, packing, and handling warehouse inventory.
  • Experience using RF scanners for inventory and material tracking.
  • Experience operating pallet jacks and forklifts in a warehouse environment.
  • Previous experience following documented procedures in a regulated or process-driven environment.
  • Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and experience working with or supporting Device History Records (DHR).
  • Ability to use hand and power tools such as torque wrenches, screwdrivers, drills, and electronic testing equipment in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
  • Ability to read and write in English to follow work instructions and complete documentation accurately.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds on a regular basis.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Consistent work history with reliable attendance, supported by positive references.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chaska, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
