Job Title: Warehouse Picker and Packer Associate

Job Description

This role focuses on accurately picking, packing, staging, and sorting products in a clean, organized warehouse environment. You will work with RF scan guns and material handling equipment to support efficient order fulfillment, while maintaining strong communication with team members, leads, and supervisors.

Responsibilities

  • Pick customer orders accurately and efficiently according to established procedures and performance expectations.
  • Pack and package products securely to prevent damage and ensure correct labeling for shipment.
  • Stage orders in designated areas to prepare for shipping, loading, or further processing.
  • Use an RF scan gun to scan, track, and verify inventory and orders with a high level of accuracy.
  • Operate pallet jacks to move pallets and materials safely when required.
  • Walk extensively throughout the facility, up to approximately 8 miles per day, to complete picking and packing tasks.
  • Support shipping and receiving activities, including order picking, unloading, and staging materials, as needed.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with warehouse picking and packing in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to perform sorting and staging tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Proficiency using an RF scan gun or similar handheld scanner to track inventory and orders.
  • Familiarity with pallet jacks and basic material handling practices.
  • Basic knowledge of warehouse inventory and inventory control concepts.
  • Ability to walk long distances (up to approximately 8 miles per day) and perform physically active work throughout the shift.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members, leads, and supervisors.
  • Attention to detail to ensure order accuracy and proper packaging.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience operating a forklift is a plus.
  • Experience operating a cherry picker is a plus.
  • Experience operating a reach truck is a plus.
  • Previous experience in inventory or inventory control is a plus.
  • Comfort working with RF scanners and other warehouse technology.

Work Environment

The role is based in a very clean, organized, and structured warehouse with a small, family feel. The facility is relatively new and equipped with modern, well-maintained equipment. Work is performed on a first-shift schedule only. You will use RF scan guns, pallet jacks, and other standard warehouse and material handling equipment. The position is physically active and requires extensive walking throughout the warehouse. The environment emphasizes cleanliness, organization, and safety, and the team culture is collaborative and supportive, with a strong focus on employee engagement and occasional provided lunches.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlestown, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
