Warehouse and Shipping Supervisor

GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION:


The Shipping & Receiving Supervisor leads dock, warehouse, and shipping/receiving operations across 1st and 2nd shift at Seal Bond's Norton Shores facility. The role owns on-time order completion, material accuracy, and a safe, organized work environment, and partners closely with Production, Packaging, and Quality to keep product moving without compromising standards.


CORE & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


Team leadership

  • Lead and direct Shipping/Receiving teams across 1st and 2nd shifts, setting daily priorities and maintaining productivity expectations.
  • Cross-train all shipping employees on the full range of dock and warehouse tasks so coverage stays flexible across roles and shifts.


Order fulfillment and quality

  • Ensure customer orders ship complete and on time.
  • Inspect outgoing batches at the dock to confirm Seal Bond quality standards are met before shipment.


Material and warehouse management

  • Manage warehouse material including cycle counts, FIFO rotation, and overall organization.
  • Maintain a kanban (or equivalent) replenishment system for non-inventory items used in Shipping/Receiving.


Cross-functional coordination

  • Serve as the point of contact for inbound and outbound carriers and drivers.
  • Receive all inbound FedEx, UPS, and Amazon deliveries and route them to the appropriate personnel.
  • Partner with Packaging and Production teams on tasks that require coordinated effort.


Safety and housekeeping

  • Ensure Seal Bond safety protocols are followed across the shipping and receiving area.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment that supports productivity for all employees.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • - 3+ years in shipping/receiving, warehouse operations, or logistics, with at least 1 year leading or supervising others.
  • - Manufacturing or industrial environment experience preferred.
  • - Familiarity with cycle counting, FIFO, and lean/kanban replenishment.
  • - Forklift certification, or willingness to obtain.
  • - Comfortable working across shifts and coordinating with hourly teams.
  • - Strong attention to detail on order accuracy and quality compliance.
  • - Clear written and verbal communication for driver coordination and cross-department work.
  • Must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
