Job description Position Title: Musician or Vocalist Intern Location: Ada Christian Reformed Church, Ada, Michigan Duration: Fall 2025 Semester 8-10 hours weekly Compensation: $1,000 Stipend Reports to: Music Director/Worship Leader Position Summary: Ada Christian Reformed Church is seeking a passionate and talented Music Intern to assist in the planning and execution of music-related activities for our worship services and community events. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for hands-on experience in a vibrant church community, where music plays a crucial role in worship and ministry. Key Responsibilities: Assist in Worship Planning: Collaborate with the Music Director to select and arrange music for worship services, including traditional hymns, contemporary worship songs, and special music performances. Rehearsal Support: Help organize and lead rehearsals for musical ensembles. Provide musical direction and support to volunteers and participants. Music Library Management: Learning the church's music library and organization methods for ensuring that all sheet music and resources are readily available for rehearsals and services. Worship Service Participation: Actively participate in worship services, playing an instrument or singing as needed, and assisting with technical setup and sound checks. Participation in church events beyond Sundays , including some holidays, weeknight events, Friendship groups and whatever other groups might need musical support. Administrative Tasks: Perform administrative duties related to the music ministry, such as scheduling, communication, and coordination with other church departments. Qualifications:Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Music, Worship Arts, or a related field. Proficiency in at least one musical instrument or vocal performance. Familiarity with a variety of musical styles, including traditional and contemporary Christian music. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of people.
