Overview:


vcfo has partnered with a mission driven Nonprofit in Austin seeking a visionary, relationship driven Vice President of Philanthropy to lead transformational fundraising and mission advancement efforts during an exciting period of growth and expansion.


Serving as a key member of the executive leadership team, this leader will drive innovative philanthropic strategies, deepen community and healthcare partnerships, and inspire meaningful investment in programs that support families navigating pediatric healthcare journeys. The ideal candidate is a dynamic revenue builder, strategic relationship architect, and passionate storyteller with strong knowledge of the Central Texas philanthropic landscape and a proven ability to cultivate donors, corporate partners, and community champions.



Essential Functions:


Strategic Leadership & Fundraising

- Develop and execute a comprehensive, multi-year development strategy aligned with mission and revenue priorities.

- Establish and achieve revenue goals across all fundraising channels.

- Support Capital and comprehensive campaigns supporting growth.

-Manage a portfolio including but not limited to corporations, individuals and foundations with seven-figure donor capacity and propensity

- Utilize data and metrics to monitor performance and drive a successful solicitation strategy

- Implement best practices in philanthropy.


Major & Principal Gifts

- Manage a portfolio of major and principal gift prospects.

- Cultivate and steward gifts in the $50,000 – $1M+ range.

- Partner with leadership and board to secure transformational gifts.

- Grow and strengthen the major gifts program.


Donor Engagement & Stewardship

- Oversee donor engagement and stewardship strategies.

- Ensure high-quality donor communication and reporting

- Maintain accurate and timely CRM data.


Campaign & Event Leadership

- Support annual campaigns and fundraising events.

- Engage volunteers and community partners.


Grants & Foundation Relations

- Secure funding from foundations and corporations.

- Assist with Grant strategy; high-level research and stewardship


Team & Volunteer Leadership

- Grow and strengthen a high-performing team.

- Engage board members and volunteers.


Community Leadership

- Serve as an ambassador in the community.

- Build partnerships with stakeholders across various sectors to advance the mission.



Qualifications:


- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.

- 8+ years of nonprofit fundraising leadership experience.

- Proven success with major/principal gifts.

- Experience leading fundraising campaigns.

- Effective communication and relationship skills.

- CRM and analytics proficiency.
