Role Overview
Senior finance leadership role responsible for overseeing all financial operations of a multi-site healthcare community. This position provides strategic direction across accounting, payroll, budgeting, decision support, cash management, and regulatory reporting, while serving as a trusted financial partner to executive and clinical leadership.
Reporting into regional finance leadership, the role leads financial planning, performance management, audits, and compliance, ensuring strong internal controls and accurate financial reporting aligned with organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide executive leadership for accounting, payroll, budgeting, decision support, and financial reporting functions.
- Oversee cash management, invoice processing, payroll operations, productivity and labor utilization reporting.
- Lead cost accounting, service line analysis, and development of tools to track volume and performance trends.
- Direct preparation of Medicare and Medicaid cost reports, IRS filings, and other regulatory submissions.
- Lead annual operating and capital planning, forecasting, and consolidation activities.
- Oversee external audits and ensure strong systems of internal control and compliance.
- Deliver financial analysis and insights to support strategic initiatives and executive decision-making.
- Act as a strategic partner to hospital leadership and regional finance stakeholders.
Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required).
- CPA preferred; MBA or Master’s in Finance or Healthcare Administration advantageous.
- 5+ years in senior financial leadership within a hospital or large healthcare organization.
- Strong background in operational finance, budgeting, and performance management.
- Experience with healthcare reimbursement, payer environments, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven ability to communicate complex financial insights to executive audiences.
