VETERINARY TECHNICIAN (LICENSED OR IN TRAINING)

East Greenbush Animal Hospital is looking for a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our progressive, team oriented practice. Our technicians work closely together to provide the best quality care to our patients in direct communication with our five veterinarians. We recognize the importance of balancing career and life. Flexible schedules are available. Our LVT's are provided a budget for continuing education and encouraged to pursue professional growth and fulfill personal interest in the field.

A qualified applicant would:

• Be a licensed veterinary technician in good standing in NYS or currently studying to become licensed
• Be motivated, compassionate and team oriented
• Have exceptional problem-solving skills and communication skills

Responsibilities includes:

• Medication dispensing and administration
• Patient care and treatment
• Induction and monitoring of surgery patients
• Assisting in surgery and dental procedures
• Performance of basic laboratory tests
• Client education and direct communication
