Veterinary Care Assistant

Description

• Assisting the front desk receptionists
• Transporting surgery/drop off appointment pets, getting them settled in kennels and adding them to the whiteboard
• Retrieving pets when their owners are here to pick them up
• Rooming clients for their appointments, entering information into the chart and computer
• Pulling charts for upcoming appointments and filing charts
• Cleaning/re-stocking the front desk area and treatment rooms;

Requirements

• This is a great entry level position for someone who is interested in learning about veterinary medicine
• Detailed-orientated with strong communication skills
• Physical ability to sit, stand, kneel, help restraining animals, walk a patient on a leash and lift animal in/out of a kennel
• Knowledgable computer skills
• Ability to manage multiple duties in a fast pace environment
• Positive can-do attitude and a willingness to learn
• Must be able to work afternoons and saturdays
